Creating and Customizing MP Characters with vMenu
This guide will walk you through using vMenu to create and customize multiplayer (MP) characters in FiveM. vMenu is a powerful server-side trainer that provides extensive character customization options.
What is vMenu?
vMenu is a server-sided menu/trainer for FiveM that includes comprehensive character appearance customization features. It allows you to fully customize the multiplayer male/female freemode peds, save your creations, and even spawn as saved characters when you join the server.
Opening vMenu
Default Controls
- Keyboard/Mouse: Press M to toggle the menu
- Controller: Press and hold the interaction menu button (camera/select button) for about 1 second
Menu Not Opening?
If the menu doesn't open, check your keybinds within the ESC menu.
Accessing Player Appearance
- Open vMenu by pressing M
- Navigate to Player Related Options in the main menu
- Then navigate to MP Ped Customization
- You'll see several options:
- Create Male Character
- Create Female Character
- Saved Characters
Creating a New MP Character
Create New Character
To create a new MP character:
- In the MP Ped Customization menu, select either:
- Create Male Character for a male MP ped
- Create Female Character for a female MP ped
- This will spawn the base MP character and open the detailed customization menu
- Use the various categories to modify your appearance and features
Saving Your Character
- After customizing your character in the MP Ped Customization menu
- Look for a Save Character or similar option within the customization interface
- Give your character a memorable name
- Your character will be saved locally

Make sure you select Save Character before leaving the character customization screen! Otherwise your changes will be lost!
Load Existing Character
If you have a previously saved character:
- Select Saved Characters in the MP Ped Customization menu
- Choose from your list of saved characters
- Your character will spawn with all customizations intact
- You can further modify the character if needed from the saved character entry
Advanced Customization Tips
Fine-Tuning Facial Features
- Use the blend options to mix different face types
- Adjust aging to add maturity to your character
- Use blemishes sparingly for realistic effects
- Experiment with complexion for skin texture
Color Coordination
- Match hair colors with eyebrow colors
- Consider makeup that complements skin tone
- Coordinate clothing colors for a cohesive look
Professional Appearance for Law Enforcement
- Choose conservative hairstyles
- Minimal or no makeup for male characters
- Professional facial hair (clean-shaven or well-groomed)
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Character Resets After Death
- Enable Restore Appearance in Misc Settings
- Within Saved Characters set your preferred character as default
